This section is to explain how our dogs are cared for & general advice on the way we do things.
Feeding Our cresties enjoy a diet of chicken. Liver, pate or terrine dog food, dried & vegetables, as complementary food we use tripe sticks, pigs ears, raw hide chews & sausages. We cook for our cresties at least once a day & spend many hours over the stove prepering their dinner. they can be fussy dogs but we have no problems with this feeding ragine.
Excercise We encourage our dogs to be outgoing and enjoy walks in the park & countryside as well as dog shows & ringcraft. We try to take them out to as many places as possible including puppy classes held at our local vets, Pets at home, into town on weekends & to friends houses.
General Care. We love our cresties to bits & feel they are little members of the family, they sleep on our beds at night & are never put into cages. All we have is a large play pen for when we have puppies. We play & engage their interest with toys, treats & regular exercise. They all have regular vet checks & we are in the process of micro chipping them all.
We groom, wash & shave our cresties at least once a week & cream every day.
We do not like an unkept crestie
Health Care. All our dogs are vaccinated at 8 weeks old & again at 10 weeks old accompanied with worming from 3 weeks of age. They are also given a general heath screen including heart, ears, eyes, teeth, temperature & weight. They are also frontline (flea & tick treatment)
Their nails are kept short & always given plenty of things to chew to developed strong teeth & gums.
We keep their hair silky & shinney & their skin moisturised & clean.
Breeding. We do breed occasionally & do so for ourselves, our puppies are bred and reared with the utmost love and care to every detail. They are handled and socialised since the moment of birth, always with mother’s approval.
We do not breed mother to son or father to daughter; neither would we breed brother to sister.
Our first aim will always be to care & love these beautiful dogs
